Heather Bunyard is a seasoned C-suite executive with an extensive background in Information Technology spanning over three decades. Her professional journey encompasses both publicly traded and privately held companies operating across healthcare, manufacturing, services and media industries. Presently serving as the Customer Success Officer at Birlasoft, Heather collaborates closely with clients to define their technology roadmap, articulate the business value propositions, and assist leaders in effectively communicating their transformation vision.

Prior to joining Birlasoft in 2022, Heather served as the Global CIO for Cision, an $800M+ private equity-owned public relations and earned media SaaS company. During her tenure, she successfully drove growth projects in lead generation, customer success, and order-to-cash, while championing quality initiatives that improved operations and reduced costs through managed services outsourcing, IT services globalization, and system platform consolidation. While leading a team of IT professionals in enterprise applications, data/analytics, infrastructure, and cybersecurity, she has played a pivotal role in driving the company's technological advancements.

Before Cision, Heather was the Global CIO at Global Experience Specialists (GES), a $1B publicly traded exhibition and events planning business. She spearheaded the transformation of manual time and attendance processes into a cloud-based real-time system, outsourced key IT services to address compliance requirements, and oversaw extensive infrastructure rationalization efforts during the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The majority of Heather's career centered around the healthcare industry where we worked for GE Healthcare, Amgen and Dupont Medical Systems. While at GE Healthcare she held a variety of IT leadership roles. Heather directed release management and testing services for 11 ERP/CRM Oracle instances supporting $13M in enhancements annually. She led the Global Program Management Office which included FDA and SOX compliance, IT transformation, Six Sigma, and portfolio management. Later in her career, she was promoted to the role of IT Executive Director, overseeing IT for US and Canada Field Services, a $2.4B business. While in this role, her team successfully retired 47 systems and implemented a consolidated Oracle CRM solution, revolutionizing GE Healthcare's field service delivery model. Following her time at GE Healthcare, Heather joined Amgen as part of the Amgen Full Potential Transformation team, focusing on master data management, electronic discovery, and corporate affairs. In this capacity, she acted as a liaison between business needs and technical solutions. Heather commenced her career at Dupont Medical Systems, where she worked in the data and analytics team supporting the sales division.

Recognized for her achievements, Heather has received numerous awards, including being named a 2022 Chicago CIO of the Year ORBIE Enterprise Finalist and 2023 ISG Women in Digital Finalist. She is an active member of InspireCIO and a graduate of GE's prestigious Executive Technology Leadership Program, EIMP. With a commitment to diversity in the workplace, Heather actively participates in initiatives promoting women in technology careers. Heather holds a Master of Information Systems from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from The Pennsylvania State University. Outside of work, she resides in the suburbs of Chicago and is married with 3 children. She enjoys skiing, golfing, cycling and traveling in her leisure time.
